Good Bye Texas

The night before we left Texas to drive to North Carolina, many of our Texas supporters gathered together to give us their last hugs and goodbyes before we head back to Kenya. What a blessed time of fellowship, encouragement and prayer we had with them all. We gathered at Pete (Dennis best man in our wedding and mentor) and Grace Holland's house for yummy food and fellowship and then Dennis took a short time to share the short video he made recently about what we as Serve Kenya are all about. Then my favorite time of the night was the prayer time where everyone gathered around us and prayed sweet and special prayers for us. It was so awesome to look around the room and see that Serve Kenya isn't just Dennis and Allison but its a whole entire team of people back home partnering with us and sending us out to minister and share God's love in Kenya. Thank you everyone!!
Pete Garcia had these fun cookies made for us. They say, "Jambo Rafiki", which means "hello friend" in Swahili. And its even in the shape of Africa. So cute.

Shelley, Jeff, and little Elizabeth Totter, who so graciously organized and put together this going away fellowship for our supporters in Denton.
Saying Bye to little Michael and Rachel Brown, children of John Brown who mentored and baptized Dennis, and who married us last July.

Saying bye to the Orozko Family, another Serve Missionary Family who have grown near and dear to our hearts while we've been in Texas. They are raising support and hope to head to France this summer as Serve Missionaries. We are very blessed to have had the time we've had to spend with this precious family!
