Adoption Hearing Update

To our dear friends and all who have been fervently praying for us these last 24 hours or more, thank you for your prayers! We just wanted to give you a little update on the first hearing for Anjela's adoption and ask you to continue to be on your knees for us.

A short summary is...we all showed up at the Kenya High Court in Mombasa at 8am, waited 3 hours, just to be told by our lawyer, "Pole sana (so sorry), the judge is not coming to work today, you'll have to return on Monday" :)

So you might ask....Were we a little frustrated and disappointed when we were told the judge decided she had some other personal business she needed to do today? The answer is YES, but were we surprised? NOPE....its Kenya and you just never know whats going to happen. Its just so typical to be told to come back another day, and yes even after you have spent lots of time waiting, canceling plans, work, and the money to drive there, stay overnight in town etc. etc. But they don't think about that. So what do we do???

Well, it keeps us on our knees and as I was reminded by 2 dear friends today, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10)

So pray now that we will not be discouraged and that God will give us the grace to be still and trust that He has a plan in all of this. He is fighting for us and has carried us through these last 1 1/2 years of waiting and we trust He will continue to carry us through!

Please also pray that Monday the judge will show up and that we will find favor in the eyes of the officials involved.

Thanks so much for your prayers, love and support.
We love you,
Dennis, Allison and Anjela
