Busy Busy Bees

We have been busy with some visitors from Texas. Gayman and his family came to visit us from Argyle! They were such a wonderful blessing to us and we thank God for them.

Gayman, Ben and I drove about 45 minutes every morning for a week to Mtwapa (North Coast of Mombasa) to teach at a pastors conference. We had a great time singing, dancing, eating and learning together with the brothers and sisters there.

The way the pastors and their church leaders responded to the messages we preached were very encouraging. Their smiles and contentment in the Word of God was very contagious, encouraging and rejuvenating. We plan to do follow up visits to the pastor's churches and encourage them more in their faithfulness in what God has called them to do.

Mary Alice (Gayman's wife) was a big encouragement to my Allison. She stayed behind with Allison and Jill as we went out to the conference and did what women do here. Go to the market, prepare drinking water for the family, cook, visit women in the neighborhood etc. Mary Alice even made a wonderful meal for the team one night!

Gayman and his family were also a huge help when Allison was sick in the hospital.

Gayman and his family left on Saturday last week and Drew Trenz is now here as our latest guest. We have a conference going on this week at Ujamaa and Drew, Ben and I are teaching the pastors while Jill and Allison are working with the ladies. It is our first SERVE women's conference and we pray that it will go well and the women will be encouraged by Allison and Jill.

Please pray for this week that:
  1. God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ with great boldness and clarity.
  2. We may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that we may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

i am so glad that you have helping hands, even if we miss Ben very badly.

one easy question. We were given a gift that says "na iwe leo furaha ya harusi" and I don't know what that means. We think it's Swahili, is it familiar to you?
