Hey we are so sorry its been so long since we wrote much on our blog....we tried to send our newsletter out to all of our prayer supporters and friends before we left Mombasa last week but the internet was down...i just sent it to Nicole so hopefully it will get out to everyone in the next few days...
I don't have time to type much cause i'm at a hotel using the internet connection which is very expensive...but i just wanted to ask everyone to be praying for us as we travel the next few days and week...
We currently have a team from Denton Bible with us and on Monday we began our travels...
We are in Nakuru town to assist the Denton team in teaching a weeklong conference. Dennis has also been able to go with one of the local pastors to visit one of the IDP camps (internally displaced people) that remains since the clashes.
After the Denton team leaves on the 22nd our family and Abby will drive to Western Kenya for a few days visit with Dennis’ family to remember his father who passed away a year ago on August 25th. After that we will return to Mombasa and begin to pack and make the big move to Ukunda. We are so grateful for our dear friend Abby Helman who has come to visit and offer her encouragement and service to us this next month as we move.
Please pray for us as we drive the long and sometimes very bad roads. Pray for our safety. Also pray for our health. Allison and Anjela and also our teammate Jill have been sick and have remained at the hotel the last few days. We are all very tired. Please pray for our health, rest, perseverence and strength.
