Brief Update

Dear friends,

Thank you for your prayers for our strength and Gods leading this summer. The summer has been very busy for us here in Kenya; It begun in June by hosting the Helman family and Drew Trenz to help in teaching pastors conferences in North and South coast respectively. Then Ben Warren joined us the same month to begin his two months stay here in Mombasa that came to an end last week. Jessi also was here for a month and just left this last Tuesday. Jessi Bourne and Ben Warren are going back to MTI, the later to finish and the former to start.

At the moment we have Jerry Clark (the men's ministry director at Denton Bible church) and his wife Linda here in Mombasa with us. They came with Gayle from the church. Jerry and I taught at a men's conference in South Coast today (Thursday 14th) and will be teaching again tomorrow in North Coast on Discipling Men in Local Churches. The response today was awesome! As you praise God with us for today for safety and good reception by the 20 men who came please continue to pray for strength as we teach tomorrow (Friday 15th). We expect about 30 men to come.

Please also praise the Lord with us for the BTCP graduation on Saturday August 16th. This is our second BTCP graduation in Mombasa and we will be graduating 24 Pastors/church leaders from both the South and North Coast classes. Pray that all will go well and the Lord will be honored for his faithfulness. Pray also that more pastors and church leaders will be excited about the training.

We hope to start our next BTCP classes in October. God willing we will start 3 classes, 2 in South Coast taught by Elly and Dennis and 1 in North coast taught by Pastor Chiro. Pray for God to send our way reliable men and women who will in turn be faithful to teach others!
