End of Year Update

MERRY CHRISTMAS from KENYA and the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS!!

It is with much gratitude and thanksgiving that we write and thank you for standing with us in fulfilling what God has called us to do here in Kenya:teaching and training pastors and church leaders. God has truly blessed the ministry and done more than we have asked HIM in this last year. It’s been so exciting to watch HIM work and to be involved in what HE is doing.

Most of you are familiar with the challenges that we are facing as a family with health, adoption, security in Kenya, etc.  When we look back at these last few years, we have been encouraged and  have understood in small ways what Paul meant when he wrote 2 Corinthians 4:7-9:

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power
is from God and not from us.
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed."

The Joy of the Lord has truly been our strength!

We delight in sending you our family prayer updates, but this is a special letter to make you aware of two very specific needs our family has right now:

1.PRAYER: Praise the Lord after an exhausting process, B.J. now has a passport!! That hurdle is over but now we must pray that the US Embassy will expedite our request for his VISA appointment.  Dennis and B.J. need to get to the States as soon as possible (preferably before Christmas!!) so our family can be reunited and Dennis can be evaluated by his Cardiologist to know when he needs to have heart valve surgery.

2.FINANCIAL: The ministry in Kenya is growing tremendously; more BTCP classes, expanding into Tanzania, the Tommy Nelson Center, hiring of SERVE interns and other staff, not to mention growth of the church at Word of Life Fellowship. With this growth comes an increase in financial expenses and we must bring our support up to funding those expenses. God has always been very gracious in providing onetime support. However, due to ministry growth and these other recent unforeseen challenges, our support account has dwindled significantly, and the ministry expenses and our emergency travel and medical needs continue We would like you to prayerfully consider partnering with us through a one-time gift as part of your end-of-the-year giving.

If the Lord lays it on your heart to give towards this venture, please email us at domondi@gmail.com.

We praise God that you continue to stand with us in this journey to make Christ known to the nations (Kenya, Tanzania and beyond) and our Lord glorified in whatever circumstance we find ourselves. Please know that your prayers for our family and for Kenya, and your monthly or one-time contributions make you a partner in this work. We pray that one day the Lord will open the door for you come to Kenya and see with your own eyes what these emails and updates cannot do justice in portraying.

We also wanted to remind you of the upcoming Denton Bible Church's 2013 Missions Conference. We all hope to be there and hope to see you there too! Here is the link for more information and to register for the conference: http://dentonbible.org/dbcmc2013/

WE love and thank you!
Merry CHRISTmas!!

Dennis, Allison,Anjela and B.J.
